Dupont™ Vespel® for LNG processing plants
LNG plants pump light hydrocarbons, often at cryogenic temperatures—a great operating environment for Vespel® CR-6100. Developed by DuPont™, this unique composite material is an ideal upgrade for wear parts in pumps and other machinery used in LNG processing.
Composed of Teflon® resin infused with long carbon fiber strands, Vespel® CR-6100 will improve the performance and reliability of your equipment. It can help reduce or eliminate pump seizure, cavitation, and vibration, provides near-universal chemical compatibility, is easy to machine, and can operate with no loss of performance in temperatures from cryogenic to 500°F (260°C).
